Chelsea kicked off the encounter on a higher tempo with a lot of desire and anxiety as Pedro find a free-kick at a dangerous area and it was an opportunity for a goal. Skillful Willian took the free-kick for the Blues, as always the Brazilian international scored a delicious goal to break the deadlock between the two teams. Conte's men kept on pushing as humble Kante's cross found Batshuayi in the penalty area unmarked, unfortunately the latter was ruled offside.
However Spurs did not put themselves on the back-foot as they managed to get back into the game. The North London club managed to create chances, as Erikisen dashed into Chelsea's defense from the right flank to curl a beautiful cross into the box which Harry Kane scored with a flick of his head into the far corner to put the match into level terms. As the encounter was heading to halftime there was a negative vibe for Spurs as Son frivolously tackled Victor Moses inside the penalty area, with no doubt the referee pointed to the penalty spot. Willian once again bagged a brace as he scored from the spot to put Chelsea on the driving seat to make it (2-1)
The hunger and the fighting spirit still in them The Spurs kept marching on, in the early stages of the second half they were well composed and they started well with the swift passing of the ball. The change in personnel made by Antonio Conte brought in a concrete effect as the Italian brought Hazard for Willian, this decision caused a rage on the dugout as Willian was disappointed. The decision proved to be right for the Italian as Eden Hazard switched up the tempo upfront for the Blues. Spurs were no longer able to deal with the pace stirred by Hazard and Chelsea upfront as the Blues kept on bombarding for a breakthrough. However in the 74 minute Eden Hazard proved to be Chelsea's main man as he found the loophole on Spurs defense and he broke the deadlock as he struck a powerful shot at the far corner to put Chelsea on the driving seat once again. A goal for Eden Hazard proved to be not enough for him as he assisted Nemanja Matic as the latter scored the unreachable and unstoppable strike into the top corner BANG! which left the whole stadium spellbound to make it 4-2 to the good. Chelsea are into the FA Cup Final and yet to find out who are their opponents between Arsenal and Manchester City who are battling it out tomorrow in the 2nd FA Cup semi final
