West Ham welcomed on-form Everton at their newly native Queen Elizabeth Park Olympic stadium. West Ham buoyed to be in the top half showed not enough character to find a breakthrough in the Everton defense. The Hammers kept on knocking and bombarding at the visitors half but the Toffies defended stoutly to salvage a point as the match ended 0-0. Kouyate should have done better as he found a great opportunity to find the back of the net unfortunately and fortunately his shot went to the woodwork.
However with all eyes gazing at the Premier League top scorer Romelu Lukaku, the Everton talisman was in doldrums as he was barely involved in the attack as the visitors created less chances and shot on goal to keep Adrian on his toes. The Hammers ran riot as they keep on inciting higher tempo as skillful Masuaka dribble past from the flanks to put in a great cross inside the penalty area, but Ashley William was quick to deal with it.
The second half elapsed with the different charisma as there was change of personnel from the Everton gaffer Ronald Koeman as the manager brought in young Lookman and Barry for Gueye and Davis to add tempo and creativity at the front. Everton increased the pressure on the first 5 minutes of the second half. Nevertheless the host West Ham responded well as Fernandez found a good chance to score unfortunately the lad dismally missed the shot, thankfully Lanzini was there to capitalize as his stout shot was tremendously blocked by Phil Jagielka. Everton would leapfrog Arsenal with a good margin if they managed to clinch a victory against the Hammers, on the other hand Slaven Bilic's lads remains at the bottom half. Bilic got a lot to ponder about in their next fixture at the Britannia against Stoke City.
Elsewhere B'mouth ran rampage to beat ten men M'boro 4-0, with the ten men Hull City glide ease with a comfortable 2-0 win against Watford. Swansea with the hopes of saving themselves from being relegated they ran riot to beat Stoke City 2-0 at the Liberty stadium.
